my review of "the devil wears prada 2" movie

i did not watch "the devil wears prada" movie yet. released in 2006, i know anne hathaway and emily bloom star in it. thats it.  i also know it is a popular movie. been there in my watch list for years now.  i directly went to theatre to watch the second part, without knowing what happened in the first one.  haha also the fact that i was late to the movie by around 30 min. i feel hollywood movies have simple and small storylines. simple story and thats it.  everything else is just execution. i like how these movies play out. the acting is good. the art is good.  overall a decent movie. in my opinion it is an art film.

may 9, 2026 - i resume my blog. AGAIN!

well... i always have this knack to write something. i see this blank space on google blogger and i feel like i should type something.  but the best part is - i dont know what to write. freaking clueless. but here's the thing. i will do it anyway. if not for others, for myself. here is my some "nth" attempt at re-igniting my interest in writing blog pieces again. these will be short or long, but 100% original. also, i dont want to stick to one topic or schedule. i hate it when i have to do things "consistently" or "methodically" or "stick to one gun".  i want to paint this blog pieces, with words ofcourse, unedited with words from my wandering mind.  so here's to long and long list of blog pieces that talk about anything that i fancy about. it can be fictional stories that i think and write about (future project), SAP BW tech blog pieces (yes, the software that i work on and the one that i want to learn), movie reviews (in my style), trav...

A normal day that started with my work friend calling me at around 4 am for a work thing. I lazily spent rest of the morning looking at my phone aimlessly.  Also spoke for hours with another work friend, M. Decided to go for tea at like 8ish but finally mustered up the energy to go at 10 am, while logging on my Teams app. A hot sunny and sweaty day indeed!  Gosh, a lot of heat that I could barely take an afternoon nap.  Entire afternoon, my work consisted of one thing - running a giant big a* Excel report. BORING stuff! Captured this beauty in the evening from my hostel room window! Well... tried searching for a simple video editing app. Result - NONE to be found. So here I am, back to good old fashioned blogging where I can write stuff and paste pictures.  Adios!

My first poem

Image
I never read poetry or tried writing one. Here's the first one I attempted while sitting at a coffee shop. This is about someone to whom I'm emotionally attached, to an unhealthy level and need to come out of it.  Coffee did help me process the thoughts and convert it into a poem.  Here it goes... ... to the one that i have been ruminating on more sunk cost fallacy has done its work,  a bit too much in the sitcom of my life, this episode has hit its core a graceful send off to my emotional feeling is the only way to keep in touch - Prasanth. ...

Ficus Garden in Hyderabad

Image
I like cities - the buzz and the connections. But, something that isn't one of the traits of cities? It is calmness.  Parks, few of them, truly provide it.  Ficus Garden in Road Number 51 of Jubilee Hills is one of them. Trees, birds chirping, cool weather! 🌲🐦 I can hear peacocks too. It is not much crowded, which is great. Hope this park remains a hidden gem, haha.  Timings -  Morning 6 to 9 am & evening 4 to 6 pm.  Few clicks of the park

Private and secure apps.

Note - This post is also available on Medium .  Digital privacy is important. Keeping data private should be our number one priority. Not every online service can offer privacy and security. I've compiled some of the services I use for keeping my data private and secure. For secure notepad - Standard Notes . Encryption masks the data in such a way that only intended users can access it. Standard Notes is more like Microsoft Notepad but with strong encryption algorithm in place. It is plain and simple. The only catch is, you can't reset your password once it is lost. For secure communication - Signal and WhatsApp . All our communications should be private and secure. Signal is number one choice when it comes to security and privacy. Both Signal and WhatsApp use end-to-end encryption to encrypt messages and calls. WhatsApp uses Signal protocol for encrypting messages and calls. For secure email - ProtonMail . ProtonMail is one of the most encrypted and secure email service...
